Taylor Swift Goes Insane In Music Video For New Single ‘Blank Space’
Taylor Swift has released the video for her new single 'Blank Space' and it's all kinds of crazy; she really is a nightmare dressed as a daydream!
The song is the second single from Taylor's new album '1989' and it follows the anthemic 'Shake It Off' which peaked at number two in the UK. In contrast, 'Blank Space' is more uptempo than upbeat but we still love it.So what happens in the music video? It's primarily set at a beautiful mansion and it tells the story of Taylor and one of her ex-lovers; as played by the gorgeous Sean O'Pry. The relationship starts off perfectly but it soon turns sour when Taylor suspects that her boyfriend is cheating on her and messaging another girl.
Channeling her anger and heartbreak, Taylor goes berserk and sets fire to her ex-boyfriend's clothes, attacks his classic car with a golf club and stabs a painting. We certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Taylor.
Speaking to Mashable, the music video's director Joseph Kahn explained: "She's highly aware of one particular thing that's happening right now - the idea that if you date her and you break up with her, she's going to write a song about you. She's aware of this. She's not an idiot. Taylor wanted to make a video addressing this concept of, if she has so many boys breaking up with her maybe the problem isn't the boy, maybe the problem is her."
'Blank Space' is available now as a track on Taylor's record-breaking album '1989'; which you can download here on iTunes. We're personally hoping that the third single from the record will be 'All You Had To Do Was Stay'.
