Doctor Who Series 8 Episode 6 Preview: The Caretaker
Forget The Doctor, it's all about The Caretaker in tonight's Doctor Who as our favourite Time Lord from Gallifrey heads back to school!
Joining Clara and Danny Pink at Coal Hill School as a caretaker, The Doctor goes undercover in order to investigate and try to stop the Skovox Blitzer; one of the deadliest killing machines ever created.It's not the first time The Doctor has investigated alien invasions at a school either; remember 'School Reunion' where he bumped into Krillitanes and Sarah Jane Smith? That was one of our favourite episodes in series two.
Today's story is the sixth adventure of Doctor Who series 8 and it looks like we're going to see even more of Clara and Danny's ever growing relationship; they're fast becoming time and space's hot new couple.
The official synopsis released by the BBC for ‘The Caretaker’ is as follows; "The terrifying Skovox Blitzer is ready to destroy all humanity - but worse, and any second now, Danny Pink and the Doctor are going to meet. When terrifying events threaten Coal Hill school, the Doctor decides to go undercover.”
We loved 'Time Heist' last week and we think it'd be amazing if augmented human Psi and shapeshifter Saibra returned at some point. Who knows? Maybe they'll even make another appearance later in the series.
‘The Caretaker' will air tonight at the later time of 8:30pm on BBC One and it’ll have a running time of 45 minutes. This time next week, we’ll previewing Doctor Who series 8 episode 7 which is titled ‘Kill The Moon'.
