Maroon 5 Premiere Gruesome Music Video For New Single ‘Animals’
Good news Maroon 5 fans; we can now feast our eyes on the official music video for 'Animals' and it's a lot gorier than we expected!
The music video is a mini horror movie in its own right and it sees lead singer Adam Levine take stalking to a whole new level. In the name of acting, he creepily follows his wife Behati Prinsloo anywhere and everywhere.What follows? A sex scene with a difference; the pair stand there completely naked before being covered in blood. It's pretty gruesome. Don't get us wrong; it's never a bad thing to see Adam Levine with no clothes on but we'd prefer it if he wasn't drenched in blood. In ways, the scene reminds us of the 1976 blockbuster 'Carrie'.
We'll be honest; we're slightly surprised Maroon 5 made such an explicit music video for such a catchy single. It'd come as no shock if the video got banned or watered down on various music channels before a certain time.
Anyway, it's definitely an interesting music video with a decent storyline and with Halloween fast approaching, it's perfect for October. The rest of the Maroon 5 boys also make an appearance on stage in the new clip.
'Animals' is the second single from Maroon 5's latest album 'V' and it follows 'Maps' which peaked at number two in the UK singles chart. The album is available for download now and you can purchase it here on iTunes.
It's heavily rumoured that 'Sugar' will be the third single from the record and we're keeping our fingers crossed that 'Leaving California' will follow at some point; that's definitely our favourite song from the new album.
