Iggy Azalea Reveals She Originally Turned Down Ariana Grande Collaboration

Before collaborating earlier this year, Iggy Azalea has revealed that she originally had a 'Problem' at the thought of working with Ariana Grande!

Why did Iggy Iggs not want to work with the beautiful Ariana Grande though? The Australian rapper explained exactly why she first refused to work with the 'Break Free' singer in a new interview with The Grammys.

She said; "I felt that my music was kind of so risqué and I knew she had a Disney show... I didn't feel like it was appropriate but then I actually met her and I found out that she's a grown-up and I was like 'Oh, OK!'"

Iggy went on to explain when a duet with Ariana was first suggested to her: "She reached out to me for her first album and I didn't do it even though I thought she was amazing, because I thought she was much younger than what she is. When I realised she was so close to my age, I was like, 'Wait you're an adult!'"

To be honest, we can see where Iggy was coming from. At the time she was first approached for a duet, Iggy was establishing herself as a rapper and it's not every day you see a hip-hop artist collaborate with a Disney star.

We're glad the pair joined forces in the end though because 'Problem' is an absolute tune. It's not just us who love it either; the song went to number one in the UK and reached number two in the American Billboard chart.

More recently, Iggy dueted with Rita Ora for her new single 'Black Widow' whilst Ariana Grande teamed up with EDM producer Zedd for 'Break Free'. Ariana and Iggy are definitely proving to be two of this year's biggest stars.

Are you glad Iggy and Ariana released 'Problem' together?
