All The Latest News About Britain’s Next Big Boy Band – The Vamps
Wherever successful boy bands go, there’s usually a bunch of screaming fangirls following and, of course, sometimes the occasional screaming fanboy too!
We’ve seen One Direction, The Wanted, JLS and Lawson capture the hearts of millions over the past few years and now it looks like it could be time for The Vamps to experience the same crazy but amazing success. Here at One Popz, we introduced you to The Vamps at the beginning of July and since then, the four boys have been very busy. We’re sure some of you already know that though right?
They’ve released their first official music video, been on a small ‘fan rallies’ tour and now they’re visiting radio stations across the UK to promote their debut single ‘Can We Dance’!
The British boy band visited Manchester’s radio station Key 103 yesterday and over 150 fans apparently turned up to meet the boys. We’d love to know if any of you reading this were actually there?
James from the band instagrammed a photo of the crowd and tweeted: “Manchester!!! You are crazy!!!”
About The Band
James McVey is 19 and also on guitar whilst youngest member Connor Ball is 17 and on bass. Connor is the newest member of The Vamps and joined the other three boys as part of the band back in March.
That just leaves Tristan Evans who’s the band’s very own drummer. Tristan can also play the piano and it’s his 19th birthday today. Happy birthday Tristan!
In their single, Brad sings the lyric: ‘I’m known to go a little too fast.’ I think it’s fair to say that the boys have proven those words to be true with the speed of their hits on Youtube.
The ‘Can We Dance’ video has over 600,000 views already and it’s only been up for just over a week. That’s pretty impressive for a band’s debut single!
The Vamps have previously toured with McFly and they're set to support Selena Gomez at her two shows in London later this year. You’ll also be able to see Brad, James, Connor and Tristan at a few festivals this month including: Fusion Festival and Liverpool's International Music Festival.
It looks like the future is bright for The Vamps and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for them!
A second single is expected and their debut album is also set to hit shelves later this year.
