The Script Premiere Terrifying Music Video For New Single ‘Man On A Wire’
The Script have reached all new heights with their latest single 'Man On A Wire' and the track's video has to be the band's most dangerous yet!
In the newly released video, we see The Script's frontman Danny O'Donoghue walk on a very thin tightrope over several buildings in the South African city of Cape Town. Glen also works his usual magic on the drums and Mark shows that he can play the guitar whilst he's vertical on the side of a building. Very impressive indeed. The stunning visual was directed by Frank Borin and it was inspired by French tightrope walker Phillipe Petit. We don't know about you but we're petrified of heights so the video may have left us with a slight feeling of vertigo.
Danny O'Donoghue recently spoke exclusively to Metro about filming the music video. He said: "It was so scary, everyone tells you not to look down but as soon as I stepped off I looked down. You cant not look down. It doesn’t get any easier either, the wire is two inches in diameter and every step feels like the first step."
Will 'Man On A Wire' be able to climb to the top of the charts though? Only time will tell. The song is currently available on The Script's latest album 'No Sound Without Silence' and it will officially be released as a single here in the UK on the 15th March. It follows the record's previous singles: 'Superheroes' and 'No Good In Goodbye'.
We're hoping that 'Paint The Town Green' will be chosen as The Script's next single. The song is incredibly anthemic and it's even being used as the opening track for their latest tour so we'll keep our fingers crossed.
The Script are currently touring the UK and you can see where they'll be heading here on our sister website SuprTickets. We saw their show in Manchester at the weekend and as alway, they left us completely amazed.
