X Factor’s Fleur East Signs To Simon Cowell’s Record Label Syco Music
We've been expecting this news for a while but now it's all official: Fleur East has signed a contract with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music!
We're thrilled for Fleur; she totally deserved it. The 27-year-old singer wowed judges on The X Factor last year and she now joins the show's winner Ben Haenow as one of Syco's new recording artists. Simon Cowell spotted Fleur's star potential when she performed Jessie J's 'Bang Bang' for the first time back at judges houses. And who could forget her amazing rendition of 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars? It was arguably the performance of the whole series and Fleur's cover even rocketed straight to number one on iTunes.
Speaking about her new record deal, Fleur said: "It means so much to be able to have the support and backing of such an amazing label as Syco. I’m so excited to finally have a platform to showcase my music."
Simon Cowell added: "I am very happy to announce that Fleur East has signed to Syco Music. Fleur proved what a star she was on the show last year and now we look forward to starting work on her record."
Like Ben Haenow, Fleur is also set to be release her debut album later this year and we can't wait to hear both of their records. It'll be really interesting to see where they both chart and which musical directions they'll go in.
Fleur and Ben will also be part of this year's X Factor tour which kicks off in Belfast on the 13th February. Both singers will be joined by the rest of the top 8 and you can find out where they'll be heading here on SuprTickets.
