Ben Haenow Wins The X Factor – But Who Topped Each Week’s Vote?
Hey now! The gorgeous Ben Haenow was crowned this year’s X Factor winner last night and we couldn't be happier; he truly deserved it!
The 29-year-old van driver from Croydon beat Fleur East to the title and he's now signed to Simon Cowell's hugely successful label Syco Records alongside the likes of One Direction and Ella Henderson. For his winning single, Ben has covered One Republic's 'Something I Need' and the song certainly suits his raspy rock voice. Fleur also performed a great rendition but it's almost as if the song was made for Ben.
Minutes after the show finished, Ben took to Facebook to personally thank his fans for their support. He said: “Cannot explain how amazing this feels and how grateful I am to everyone who voted - especially my #HAENIACS! Happiest man alive right now. Cant believe I have a single out now!!!”
But just how close was the final? We really couldn't predict who was going to win but figures reveal that Ben actually won with a huge 57.2 percent of the vote. Runner-up Fleur received 34.3% of the weekend's votes and the remaining 8.5% went to Andrea Faustini. It'd be an understatement to say that it was an explosive final.
Interestingly, this season's official figures also reveal that Ben received the most votes every single week following his incredible performance of AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell' in week four. Andrea topped the votes for the first three live shows and you can view a full list of this year's statistics here on The X Factor's official website.
Whilst Fleur may not have won the show, we’re sure that she still has a great future ahead of her and it's very likely that Simon Cowell will still sign her anyway. We reckon that Andrea Faustini, Lauren Platt, Stereo Kicks and Jake Quickenden also have a good chance at getting record deals too so we'd say watch this space.
Ben Haenow's winning single ‘Something I Need’ is available now here on iTunes and physical copies of the single will be available from all good music stores on Wednesday. That's definitely something we need.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that Ben will be number one on Sunday but he does face tough competition from Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ which Fleur East once again covered last night.
Here at OnePopz, Ben has been a favourite of ours right from the very start so we’re very excited to see what the future holds for him. He seems like a great guy and we can’t wait to hear his debut album when it’s released.
Ben and the rest of this year's top eight will also gigging around the country next year for The X Factor Tour. You can view a list of all of the show dates here on Ticketmaster so make sure you get tickets while you can.
