Doctor Who Series 8 Episode 8 Preview: Mummy On The Orient Express

The clock is ticking in tonight's episode of Doctor Who as a terrifying mummy haunts an outer space replica of the famous Orient Express!

The ghastly creature can only be seen by those about to die and once spotted, there's only 66 seconds left before death strikes its victim. We certainly don't want to be seeing that hideous monster any time soon.

Today’s story is the eighth episode of Doctor Who series 8 and it will guest star pop singer Foxes. It'll be her acting debut and she'll also be performing a jazzed up version of 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen.

The official synopsis for ‘Mummy On The Orient Express’ is as follows; “The Doctor and Clara are on the most beautiful train in history, speeding among the stars of the future – but they are unaware that a deadly creature is stalking the passengers. Once you see the horrifying Mummy you only have 66 seconds to live.

"No exceptions, no reprieve. As the Doctor races against the clock, Clara sees him at his deadliest and most ruthless. Will he work out how to defeat the Mummy? Start the clock!

It's not the first time The Doctor has found himself on an outer space replica of transport from Earth either; David Tennant's 10th Doctor also boarded an intergalactic version of the Titanic in 'Voyage Of The Damned'.

‘Mummy On The Orient Express’ will air tonight at 8:35pm on BBC One and it’ll have a running time of 45 minutes. This time next week, we’ll previewing Doctor Who series 8 episode 9 which is titled ‘Flatline’.
