Doctor Who Series 8 Episode 3 Preview: Robot Of Sherwood
The Doctor and Clara are back tonight for another adventure in time and space. This week, they'll be investigating the legend of Robin Hood!
Today's episode will be the third chapter of Doctor Who series 8 and we'd recommend that you get your bow and arrows ready; that's if you have any of course. Sadly, we've not quite mastered archery yet here at OnePopz.As with last week's adventure, don't worry, we aren't going to spoil too much about the episode in our preview because we hate seeing spoilers ourselves. River Song wouldn't be too pleased with us either, would she?
Due to recent news events, it has been announced that a scene from 'Robot of Sherwood' has been cut from tonight's transmission. Out of respect, a scene involving a beheading will no longer be shown today.
The official synopsis for 'Robot of Sherwood' is as follows; "In a sun-dappled Sherwood forest, the Doctor discovers an evil plan from beyond the stars and strikes up an unlikely alliance with Robin Hood. With all of Nottingham at stake, the Doctor must decide who is real and who is fake. Can impossible heroes really exist?"
Tonight’s episode will guest star Tom Riley as Robin Hood and Ben Miller as the Sheriff of Nottingham. There's also a robot on the loose too so be careful or it may just come through the TV screen looking for you.
Last week's adventure 'Into The Dalek' was one of our favourites yet. We loved seeing minature The Doctor and Clara and it was great to see the Dalek's origins explored more; antibodies have never been so scary.
'Robot of Sherwood' will air tonight at 7:30pm on BBC One and it'll have an approximate running time of 45 minutes. This time next week, we’ll previewing Doctor Who series 8 episode 4 which is simply titled ‘Listen’.
