Taylor Swift Premieres Music Video For New Single ‘Shake It Off’

Calling all Swifties! Taylor Swift has unveiled her brand new single 'Shake It Off' and she's certainly shaking off her previous country roots!

The 24 year old singer-songwriter released the music video for the track last night and it definitely highlights Taylor's fun personality. Despite premiering less than 12 hours ago, it's already been viewed over 3 million times.

Remember when we said Katy Perry's video for 'This Is How We Do' had a crazy amount of costume changes? Taylor's sure coming for that crown. In the 'Shake It Off' video, we see Tay Tay dressed as many characters including; a ballerina, a hip-hop dancer, a cheerleader and a futuristic golden Lady Gaga lookalike.

We were excited to see the return of T-Swizzle (see here) and it was great to see that Taylor is now cheer captain too; she's no longer in the bleachers like she was in 'You Belong With Me.' Way to go Miss Swift!

Speaking during her Yahoo live stream last night, Taylor explained her new sound: “I like to work on albums for two years because two years gives you enough time to grow and change. I woke up every single day that I was recording this record not wanting, but needing, to make a new style of music that I had ever made before."

‘Shake It Off’ is available on iTunes in most countries right now and it was written by: Taylor, Max Martin and Shellback. We love it and it's an exciting new musical direction for Taylor but we'll be honest, we do miss her old country style. Here at OnePopz, we're still hoping she’ll release another album like ‘Fearless’ one day.

Taylor’s forthcoming fifth studio album '1989' will follow later this year on the 23rd October and it’s available for pre-order now. The album's artwork is a beautiful polaroid picture. You can see the deluxe edition's cover here and the standard version here. Finally, make sure you don't forget one very important thing in life: a hater's gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate!

What do you think of Taylor Swift's catchy new single?
