Maroon 5 Unveil Heartbreaking Music Video For New Single ‘Maps’
Maroon 5 definitely know how to kick July off with a bang; they've just premiered the music video for their incredible new single 'Maps'!
Be warned, it's not as light-hearted as some of the band's previous videos though and it's sure to leave you reaching for your tissues. Some scenes are also particularly gory but it's all relevant to the story's context.The music video starts when Adam Levine rushes into an emergency room demanding to know which ward his girlfriend is in. He eventually finds her but it's too late; she's on the edge of life and death.
How did Adam's girlfriend end up in hospital though? This is where the music video rewinds and it shows that she was hit by a car; events that unfolded after she saw Adam getting intimate with another girl.
Understandably, she was annoyed and stormed off. Will she make it out alive though? You'll have to wait until the end of the video to find out but it's definitely one of Adam's 'darkest nights' to say the least.
'Maps' is the lead-single from Maroon 5's forthcoming fifth studio album. The song is currently available to download in most countries but it won't be released in the UK until the 24th August. So far, it's already become a number one hit in South Korea and it's also charted at number 14 in America's Billboard chart.
Maroon 5's fifth album 'V' will be released on the 1st September and it'll also feature a collaboration with Gwen Stefani. We can't wait to hear the rest of the album and hope that the other tracks will be just as good!
