Katy Perry Debuts Music Video For New Single ‘This Is How We Do’
Katy Perry has definitely shown us how a music video should be done in the new promotional film for her latest single 'This Is How We Do'!
The video only premiered a few hours ago but it's already gone viral online and it's got everyone talking about twerking ice creams. Who else could get away with having those in a video? Miley would be proud.With the hot weather now upon us, it's no surprise that Katy chose 'This Is How We Do' as her next single. It's a complete summer jam and the video's fresh colours and concepts are also perfect for this time of year.
It may just be us, but we couldn't help but notice the amount of times Katy changes her hairstyle too. If an award existed, we reckon she'd easily win the trophy for the most hairstyle changes in one music video.
A personal highlight for us was the Aretha Franklin moment. When Katy shouts the word 'Respect', a photo of Aretha appears in reference to her single of the same name and it's so bizarre that it had us in stitches.
'This Is How We Do' is available for download now and it's the fifth single from 'Prism'; Katy's latest album. The track follows Katy's previous singles from the record: 'Roar', 'Unconditionally', 'Dark Horse' and 'Birthday'.
We're not going to lie, we're slightly gutted that 'Legendary Lovers' wasn't chosen as the next single but there may still be time yet. 'Legendary Lovers' is not only one of our favourite songs from Katy's new album, it's also one of our favourite songs ever recorded by Katy so we really do think that it deserves to be a single.
