Emblem3 Become Emblem2 – Drew Leaves The Band To Pursue Solo Career
As massive fans of Emblem3, we hate to bring you this news but Drew Chadwick has unfortunately decided to leave the band for good!
We're gutted as Drew was our favourite member and we're definitely going to miss his raps about six packs and Call of Duty: Zombies. It's not the end for Drew musically though as he's now pursuing a solo career. The 21 year-old heartthrob will be announcing details about his first solo record on the 27th June and while it's a shame that it won't be with Wesley and Keaton, at least it's a silver lining in its own way.
Following the announcement of his departure, Drew took to Twitter and said: "I love you and Wes/Keaton. Lets all stay united. Stay tuned in for June 27th. #e3forever"
We reckon Drew's album will be more soulful and packed full of meaningful lyrics. Drew seems like a very deep person emotionally and his posts on social media never fail to leave us inspired.
What does this mean for brothers Wesley and Keaton Stromberg though? Will they change the name of the band Emblem3 or will they decide to look for a brand new member?
The pair have announced that they're going to stick together and continue releasing new songs. They'll also still be performing at their forthcoming 'Fireside Story Sessions' gigs but it'll be without Drew.
Keaton and Wesley explained: "We're sad to see Drew go but he will always be our brother, and we couldn't be happier for him as he starts his new journey as a solo artist. Drew sends hugs out to all the Emblems."
"We know many of you may be concerned about what this means for Emblem3, but I can assure you this is just the beginning! Me and Keaton started this band when we were 9 and 11 years old and we will continue making music for our fans. We love you with all our heart."
There's a lot of change to come for us Emblems but we'll still be supporting all three of them. We're going to find it hard not to sob every time we listen to their amazing album 'Nothing To Lose' though!
