Union J Inspired By Taylor Swift Whilst Working On Their Second Album

Union J have revealed that they've been inspired by Taylor Swift whilst working on their second album!

The boys performed 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift when they were on The X Factor and now they've said that their new sound has been influenced by the country singer-songwriter too.

Speaking to Capital FM about their forthcoming second album, George Shelley said: "It's uptempo. It's kind of got a country twist to it. If you can imagine Taylor Swift meets Little Mix meets Union J."

A mixture of: Union J, Taylor Swift and Little Mix? That sounds pretty perfect to us; we love them all!

Jaymi Hensley also explained: "I think we've had like a month or so off now to get back to who we really are without the whole of last year's campaign and who we were on X Factor."

Union J's debut self-titled album peaked at number six in the UK album charts last year. The record's first two singles; 'Carry You' and 'Beautiful Life' also both made it into the top 10 of the singles charts.

That's really impressive but Union J want to do even better and are going to 'come back fighting' with this second album. The album is expected to hit shelves later this year and we can't wait to hear it!

Are you looking forward to hearing Union J's new sound?
