OnePopz’s Top 10 The Wanted Singles – Which Songs Will Stay Gold Forever?

The Wanted have been one of the biggest boy bands this century and we're gutted that they're taking a break!

We went to watch their farewell tour last night and it's left us on a bit of an 'All Time Low'. You can check out our review of their concert at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester here.

So how do you get up from an all time low? We're not completely sure but we thought a pretty good way to try would be to count down our top 10 favourite The Wanted singles! Sounds pretty good right?

The boys rose to fame in 2010 and their catchy pop songs helped them win fans all over the world.

We start off our list of incredible singles with...

10) Gold Forever

'Gold Forever' was the lead track from The Wanted's second album 'Battleground' and it kicks off our list!

It's an upbeat song which is all about sharing amazing memories with someone. Peaking at number three in the UK, 'Gold Forever' was also the official Comic Relief single in 2011.

In the music video, we see the boys messing around with red noses and it's super fun to say the least. We guarantee it'll have you in stitches; it never fails to make us laugh anyway!

9) I Found You

We've found you our ninth favourite The Wanted single!

'I Found You' features high-pitched vocals which we can only describe as similar to those heard by the Bee Gees. Like 'Gold Forever', the track also peaked at number three in the UK.

The music video for the song is a gritty British mini-film in its own right and it sees the boys 'saving' a girl who's been kidnapped. They end up with a box full of diamonds and that's what this is: a diamond of a song!

8) Warzone

Take cover, 'Warzone' fires in at number eight on our list!

The track is a ballad which features dubstep beats and it's genuinely quite haunting. It's about the breakdown of a relationship and the song made it to number 21 in the UK singles chart.

We see The Wanted walk in on their partners to find them cheating with other women in the video. There's lots of really cool shots of the boys in a burning scrapyard too and it's all pretty epic!

7) Chasing The Sun

This song has given up chasing the other singles to the top of our list!

'Chasing The Sun' comes it at number seven and it's the lead track from The Wanted's third album 'Word of Mouth'. It's a dance track similar to 'Glad You Game' and it charted at number 2 in the UK.

The Wanted turn into vampires for the music video and there's an effective use of contrasting light and dark skies. We'll be honest, we wouldn't mind a bite from one the boys; even if it did turn us into a vampire!

6) Lightning

'Lightning' bolts in at number six on our list of favourite singles by The Wanted!

The track was first heard on their 'Behind Bars' tour and the studio version premiered later in September 2011. It's one of those songs that you can't help singing along to and it peaked at number 2 in the UK.

Everything gets really steamy in the music video for the track; there's lots of explosions and the boys do quite a lot of kissing. Make sure you check it out in its whole three minute glory below!

5) Lose My Mind

We'd definitely have been losing our minds if we didn't include this single in our list!

'Lose My Mind' was the third single to be released from The Wanted's debut album and it's the first song that the boys ever performed live on The X Factor. It made it to number 19 in the UK charts.

The music video sees Tom, Max, Siva, Jay and Nathan having fun at a theme park and there's lots of riding around on dodgems. It looks like it was lots of fun to film and we wish we'd got an invite!

4) All Time Low

It's the song that launched The Wanted's career and brought them all into our lives!

We are of course talking about 'All Time Low' which was the first single to be released from the band. It became a number one hit; not many groups can say that about their debut singles.

It's a great video; we get to see the boys party in an abandoned building and street. The flares set off match the thumping electronic beats in the track and you can check it out below!

3) Glad You Came

'Glad You Came' is The Wanted's most successful single of their whole career!

It's a club hit which helped the boys break into the American and worldwide market; it was even covered by the popular TV show 'Glee'. The track made it to number one in the UK and number three in America.

The music video for 'Glad You Came' sees the boys partying abroad in Ibiza. It's one of our favourite videos because they all look so gorgeous; especially with their tops off!

2) Show Me Love (America)

We're showing this single lots of love but it just misses out on the top spot of our list!

'Show Me Love (America)' is the penultimate single to be released by The Wanted. It's an amazing ballad with a beautiful arrangement of strings and it peaked at number eight in the UK singles chart.

In the music video, the boys look super smart as they suit up and keep everything stripped back. It's a heartbreaking black and white film which tells the story of two potential lovers who keep missing each other despite their paths crossing!

1) Heart Vacancy

'Heart Vacancy' is our favourite The Wanted single by far; it holds a special place in our heart!

The song was the band's second single and we've listened to it more times than we'd like to actually count. It's incredible live and the single peaked at number 2 in the UK singles chart.

The music video tells the story of lovers from two periods of time who are connected through a cinema screen. The guy travels through time from the past to the present by coming through the big screen. Pretty amazing right? The Wanted even did cinema screenings of the music video for fans!

It's a real shame that the boys have decided to take a break from music. They're super talented and we've grown to love them over the past few years. Hopefully they'll decide to get back together one day!

Whilst their career has spanned less than five years, The Wanted have made some great achievements that other bands could only dream of and there's been a perfect mixture of dance bangers and beautiful ballads.

It's not all over for the boys though; they're all working on their own solo projects. Tom is releasing a track with Fazer later this year, Siva has been doing more modelling and making music with Red One, Max and Nathan have also signed solo record deals and Jay has been pretty quiet about his plans.

While they might not be a band anymore after their tour, it looks like there's still lots to look forward to thankfully!
