Taylor Swift Unveils New Track ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’

It's been a while since we heard a new song from Taylor Swift but fear no more, she has now released a new track titled 'Sweeter Than Fiction!'

The song will feature on the soundtrack for upcoming British movie 'One Chance' and it will be played during the closing credits of the film. One Chance is set to hit cinema screens in the UK on the 25th October and it will tell the story of Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts. James Corden will play the lead role of Mr Potts.

We'll be honest, we didn't expect a whole film about Paul Potts but the trailer looks fun.

Taylor wrote 'Sweeter Than Fiction' with Jack Antonoff, the guitarist from the band fun., and it has an 80's feel to it. It's different to the sound we're used to hearing from the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer-songwriter but it's a refreshing change.

Many lyrics reference the crazy journey Paul Potts has been on such as 'you've made us proud' and 'there you stand, ten feet tall, I will say I knew it all along.' His first audition has now been viewed an impressive 116 million times on Youtube.

Listening to the song, we also can't help but notice that the first three seconds sound very similar to the intro of 'Jump' by Girls Aloud. Maybe that's just us though. What do you think? Do you hear it too?

Taylor will return to the UK in February next year where she will play five shows at the 02 arena in London as part of her 'Red' tour. Sweeter Than Fiction is currently available here on Amazon or here on iTunes.
