Doctor Who 50th Anniversary 3D Cinema Screenings Announced
We can't wait for 'The Day of the Doctor', Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary special, here at OnePopz and today's news has just made us even more excited about it!
BBC Worldwide have now announced tons of 3D cinema screenings for the episode and it's not just fans in the UK who'll be able to watch it on the big screen either. This is going to be a global event.Over 216 cinemas across the UK and Ireland have revealed they'll be displaying the 75 minute-long adventure and it'll also fly into cinemas in: America, Canada, Germany and Russia. Showings in more countries will be announced in a few weeks.
All screenings will coincide with the episode's TV broadcast in the UK on the 23rd November which means that some fans might have to stay up extra late or get up extra early if they're watching it overseas.
The Day of the Doctor will see Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman reprise their roles as The 11th Doctor and Clara Oswald. Plus who could forget the eagerly anticipated return of David Tennant and Billie Piper?
Cinema tickets for the 50th Anniversary special will go on sale this Friday at 9am and you can find out which movie theatres will be showing 'The Day of the Doctor' here. We're yet to see any preview footage of the special itself but there's a super cool 50th Anniversary trailer airing on TV at the moment to help fans get excited.
