Rebecca Ferguson Premieres Music Video For New Single ‘I Hope’
It’s been a while since we heard from Rebecca Ferguson but she’s finally back with her brand new single ‘I Hope!’
The soulful track is about moving on from past relationships and it’s caused a mixed reaction online from some directioners. Lots of fans are suggesting that the song has been written about Zayn Malik who Rebecca previously dated.One user (@FraudPerrie) tweeted: “Rebecca Ferguson’s new song is apparently about Zayn and him moving on. She needs to get a life no offence.”
In the song, Rebecca wishes her ex-boyfriend the best but we’re not too sure whether she’s being sarcastic with lyrics such as: ‘I hope life treats you well, I hope she treats you well.’
Either way, it’s a catchy tune and the song shows off Rebecca’s unique velvety tone.
The video sees the ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ singer perform the single over a lit-up city. In true Katy Perry ‘Firework’ style, there’s also lots of shots of people embracing their ‘inner fire’ during moments of strong emotion. Their hearts literally light up.
‘I Hope’ will be released on the 24th November and it will be the lead single from Rebecca’s forthcoming second studio album ‘Freedom.’‘Freedom’ is set to hit shelves on the 2nd December and it’ll feature a duet with John Legend titled ‘Bridges.’
