WATCH: Katy Perry Delivers Incredible Super Bowl Halftime Performance

After mesmerising the world with her spectacular performance at the Super Bowl, it's fair to say that Katy Perry is the talk of the internet!

An estimated 112 million people tuned in to watch the California girl perform a selection of her greatest hits last night and she definitely didn't disappoint. The special effects were incredible and we loved every single second.

Katy wasn't alone on the pitch either; she also got her freak on with Missy Elliot and rocked out with legendary guitarist Lenny Kravitz. The trio were also joined by: dancing sharks, smiling beach balls and a huge metallic lion.

Before the big performance, Katy tweeted a photo of her younger self and reflected on her life by saying: "Today is for this girl. She had the dream, always believed in herself & her worth. Today she is the one smiling."

Isn't that cute? It must have been an outstanding feeling for Katy. Performing at the Super Bowl's half-time show is certainly an iconic milestone and Katy follows in the footsteps of: Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Madonna and U2.

To celebrate, Katy added a brand new tattoo to her collection. The roman numerals 'XLIX' are now tattooed on one of her fingers and they're symbolic of the fact that last night's Super Bowl was the 49th tournament to date.

But which songs did Katy sing? She kicked off with her anthemic number one single 'Roar' before performing: 'Dark Horse', 'I Kissed A Girl', 'Teenage Dream' and 'California Gurls'. The extravaganza closed with an explosive live rendition of 'Firework'. Katy quite literally flew across the stadium and most certainly went out with a bang.
