Fall Out Boy Unveil Gladiator Themed Music Video For New Single ‘Centuries’

American rockers Fall Out Boy recently premiered the official music video for their new single 'Centuries' and it's pure cinematic brilliance!

The four minute long clip sees the band take on the role of enslaved gladiators and it's soon time for them to fight for their lives at a coliseum. Will they survive though? You'll have to watch for yourselves to find out.

It's clear that 'Gladiator' and 'Game Of Thrones' were two major inspirations for the video and it definitely seems to have paid off; the 'Centures' video has already been viewed over a million times on Youtube. Rick Ross also makes a cameo appearance in the clip and it was supported by the Ontario Media Development Corporation.

Explaining the meaning of the track and how it came about, Fall Out Boy said: "Make no mistake, “Centuries” is, at its most distilled, the story of David & Goliath. It is us passing along the story of how we feel right before we step on stage, trading feeling small and human for all the sweat and grit and sheer power of belief it takes to stare down a giant. Sometimes wrongs are righted. Sometimes if you scream loud enough the world will listen. Sometimes the quintessential loser wins. Sometimes the giant falls."

'Centuries' was released on iTunes back in September and it's so far peaked at number 22 in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The song is the lead single from Fall Out Boy's currently untitled sixth studio album and we can't wait to hear more new material from the boys; we're sure they won't disappoint.

Patrick, Pete, Joe and Andy also recently unveiled 'Immortals', their song for Disney's 'Big Hero 6' soundtrack, and you can watch the music video for that here. It's a slightly different sound for the rockers but we still love it.

What do you think of Fall Out Boy's new historic video?
