Doctor Who Series 8 Episode 10 Preview: In The Forest Of The Night

Imagine waking up one morning and finding that a forest has grown in every city in the world; we'd literally have no idea what to do!

That's the exact situation that The Doctor, Clara, Danny and students from Coal Hill School find themselves in tonight. The children are on a dangerous and thrilling school trip but they need be careful; London is now home to both wolves and tigers. We don't know about you but our school trips were never quite so exciting.

Today’s adventure is the tenth episode of Doctor Who series 8 and it's been written by Frank Cottrell Boyce. It's the final story before this season's two-part finale and it will guest star Abigail Eames as schoolgirl Maebh.

The official synopsis released by the BBC for ‘In The Forest Of The Night’ is as follows; “One morning, in every city and town in the world, the human race wakes up to face the most surprising invasion yet. Everywhere, in every land, a forest has grown overnight and taken back the Earth. The people are stunned but the Doctor knows more - this bizarre stranglehold of vegetation means the final days of humanity have finally arrived."

Here at OnePopz, we loved last week's episode 'Flatline' and it's definitely one of our favourites this year. The two dimensional monsters were genuinely terrifying and the special effects used to create them were incredible.

‘In The Forest Of The Night’ will air tonight at 8:20pm on BBC One and it’ll have an approximate running time of 45 minutes. This time next week, we’ll previewing Doctor Who series 8 episode 11 which is titled ‘Dark Water’.
