Hilary Duff Unveils Music Video For New Comeback Single ‘Chasing The Sun’
Hilary Duff is making a musical comeback and she's just premiered the music video for 'Chasing The Sun'; her brand new single!
It's been over seven years since the 'So Yesterday' singer last released an album so it's definitely good to have the Disney songstress back; the song and video have without a doubt made us smile this morning.Hilary's new track is a great mixture of bubblegum pop and country music; it's perfect for the summer and super cute too. In our eyes, it's also very Taylor Swift but surely that can only a good thing.
In the video, we see Hilary stuck in an office job daydreaming about spending her summer on the beach with a beautiful guy. We sometimes do the same but we'd like to think we make it slightly less obvious.
Speaking about her break from music, Hilary recently said: "I took a break from music for quite awhile, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made."
"'Chasing The Sun' is a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree."
The song was co-written by Colbie Caillat, Jason Reeves and Toby Gad so that explains where Hilary's got her new country twang from. For her new album, the ex 'Lizzie McGuire' actress has also been working in the studio with none other than Ed Sheeran so we're sure there's even more great pop tunes to come.
'Chasing The Sun' is available for download now in most countries but we're not yet sure when it'll get a UK release. We do however know that Hilary's forthcoming album is expected to hit shelves later this year.
