OnePopz’s Top 10 Miley Cyrus Singles – We Can’t Stop Listening To Them!

Most of her singles are absolute 'bangerz' so it's no surprise that Miley Cyrus is as popular and successful as she is today!

It's fair to say that she's had a rollercoaster of a career though; there's definitely been ups and downs.
Miley first rose to fame in 2006 after landing the role of Disney's Hannah Montana. It was the TV show that launched her into stardom but following that; her style and music videos have been a lot more controversial.

Earlier today, we posted here that Miley uploaded a funny video pretending to fight with Avril Lavigne. As a result, we've decided to list our top 10 Miley Cyrus singles with our favourite Avril songs following soon!

We start off our list of amazing tracks with...

10) The Best Of Both Worlds

We couldn't list of our favourite Miley Cyrus singles without including a Hannah Montana track!

'The Best Of Both Worlds' kicks off our top 10. As her alter ego Hannah Montana, Miley released the song when she was just thirteen years old and it peaked at number 43 in the UK singles chart.

The music video for the track is a live performance which was recorded at one of her concerts. It's super fun and despite her young age; Miley still manages to rock the stage like a professional!

9) Adore You

Miley's most recent single 'Adore You' comes in at number nine!

It's a stripped back balled which talks about the emotions surrounding love. The track's lyrics are really sweet and they helped the single peak at number 21 in America and number 27 in the UK singles chart.

Like the song, the music video for the single also shows Miley at her most vulnerable. It's had over 68 million hits on Youtube and we see Miley pose in both a bed and a bath. Check it out below!

8) 7 Things

There's definitely more than '7 Things' that we love about this single from Miley!

It starts off as a country break-up track but suddenly turns more pop/rock when the chorus kicks in. The song lists some of the things Miley hates about an ex-boyfriend and it peaked at number 9 in America.

In the music video, Miley rocks out with other girls who are getting over their ex-boyfriends. They're all holding gifts they were given during their relationships and they soon realise they're better off without them!

7) When I Look At You

'When I Look At You' is our seventh favourite Miley Cyrus single!

It's a power ballad which served as the lead single from the soundtrack of the movie 'The Last Song'. The song speaks all about Miley's perfect man and it charted at number 16 on the Billboard chart.

In the video, we see Miley play the piano on a beach and sing her heart out in a forest. In order to help promote the film, lots of clips from 'The Last Song' also feature throughout!

6) We Can't Stop

'We Can't Stop' was the single that literally got everyone talking!

Breaking away from her innocent Disney image, Miley released the track in June last year. The song itself was originally written for Rihanna but it was later given to Miley to use for her big comeback single.

It made it to number one in the UK charts but its music video is what caused so much controversy. We're sure most of you have probably already seen it the provocative promotional film which sees Miley 'twerking'!

5) Party In The U.S.A

We've got our hands up and we're playing her song; 'Party In The U.S.A' comes in at number five!

The upbeat track is all about having a good time and it was co-written by Jessie J who decided not to record it for her album. Peaking at number 2 in the Billboard charts, the single was definitely a big hit for Miley.

Believe it or not, the music video was actually inspired by a scene from the 1978 film 'Grease'. It sees her partying with friends in several locations and it always makes us want to get up and dance!

4) The Climb

This single climbed all the way up to number four on our list!

'The Climb' is one of those ballads that you can't help but sing along to and it peaked at number four in the Billboard charts. It also featured on the soundtrack for the film 'Hannah Montana: The Movie'.

X Factor winner Joe McElderry is just one of the singers who's covered the track and he used it as his winning single. Miley's music video for the song sees her on a journey battling through all different types of weather!

3) Who Owns My Heart

Who owns our hearts? Miley Cyrus definitely does!

We'd say that this is easily Miley's most underrated single so far. It's an incredible dance track which surprisingly failed to chart in both the United Kingdom and the United States.

The music video for 'Who Owns My Heart' sees Miley partying in a club and even in the back of a limousine. It received several complaints for being too 'sexual'; something that Miley now gets criticised for very often!

2) Wrecking Ball

Miley comes in like a 'Wrecking Ball' at number two!

The song tells the story of her feelings during the break-up of a relationship and it's rumoured to have been inspired by Liam Hemsworth. It's an emotional ballad which peaked at number one in the US and the UK.

As well as setting the charts on fire, the controversial video for 'Wrecking Ball' is also Miley's most viewed video on Youtube ever. It's reached nearly 600 million views and sees the singer naked on an iron ball!

1) Can't Be Tamed

'Can't Be Tamed' takes the crown and is our favourite Miley Cyrus single to date!

It was the first song to really challenge her Disney image and that's what the song is all about; breaking free and enjoying independence. 'Can't Be Tamed' is a catchy dance track which soon became a summer hit.

The song peaked at number 8 in the Billboard chart and number 13 in the UK singles chart. Its highest chart positions were number five in both Ireland and New Zealand. Still pretty impressive though right?

In the music video, Miley breaks free from a cage where she's being kept held captive. The wings symbolise the fact that she's a songbird and the promotional film has received over 100 million hits on Youtube!

She may often get criticised by the press for being a 'bad role model' but there's no denying that Miley has a great voice and some fantastic songs. There's a reason why she's been in the music industry for so long!

It can't have been easy making the transition from a childhood star to a grown-up singer.

We're interested to see if Miley will be releasing any more singles from her latest album. If so, we hope her next single will be the French Montana collaboration 'FU' which is undeniably our favourite on the record.

Miley is currently touring across the world and will be playing a show at the TD Arena in Boston tonight!
