OnePopz’s Top 10 Taylor Swift Singles – We Are Never Ever Getting Bored Of Them

We're sure there'll be no teardrops on Taylor Swift's guitar when it comes to her amount of number one singles!

She released her debut self-titled album in 2006 and since then; her singing career has rocketed. Her first album was very country but following that; her music has been slightly more pop!

Earlier today, we posted here that Union J have been inspired by Taylor Swift whilst recording their second album. We can't blame them and as a result; we've decided to list our top 10 Taylor Swift singles!

We start off our list of amazing singles with...

10) Teardrops On My Guitar

'Teardrops On My Guitar' is a sweet country ballad which was Taylor's second ever single!

It's all about one of Taylor's friends at school who she wanted to be in a relationship with. It charted at number 2 in the US Country Songs chart and number 13 in the Billboard chart.

The music video for the track really does show the meaning of the song; it's heartbreaking seeing Taylor look happy for her friend Drew when he gets a new girlfriend!

9) The Last Time (ft. Gary Lightbody)

Coming in at number nine, we have Taylor's duet with Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol!

It's quite a depressing song but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The song really hits the heart and it peaked at number 15 in Ireland and number 25 in the UK singles chart.

Taylor and Gary performed the track live on The X Factor in the UK and the music video for the track is another live performance from the duo. The simple video allows the song to work its magic!

8) The Story Of Us

'The Story of Us' is number eight in our list and it's the story of Taylor and another ex-boyfriend!

This upbeat song is about moving on from a past relationship rather than being heartbroken about it. We guess it's not as much of 'a tragedy now' though because the track made it to 41 in the Billboard chart.

In the music video, we see Taylor bump into an ex-boyfriend in the library and they both try to avoid each other. We love the metaphorical symbolism with the books and the ending of that relationship's chapter!

7) White Horse

Our seventh favourite Taylor Swift single is 'White Horse'; a song all about forgiveness!

The song is about the heart-breaking moment when you realise that your relationship isn't working out and that all the dreams that you had about it disappear. It charted at number 13 on the Billboard chart.

In the video, the message is reflected when we see Taylor's 'boyfriend' cheating on her with another woman. It's an emotional video and she quite rightly refuses to given him a second chance!

6) Should've Said No

There's actually no official video for 'Should've Said No' but it still makes it to number six in our list!

It's a message to one of Taylor's ex-boyfriends which tells him that he 'Should've Said No' to the woman who he cheated with. The single is super catchy and it peaked at number 33 in the Billboard chart.

Taylor performed the track with the Jonas Brothers on their 'Burnin' Up' and the performance was included in the 3D movie of the concert. The song's definitely worth checking out below!

5) Crazier

'Crazier' is a sweet ballad which should definitely have featured on one of Taylor's albums!

It tells the story of the emotions you feel when you're in love and Taylor's voice sounds purer than ever in it. It peaked at number 17 in the Billboard charts and made the top 100 in the United Kingdom too.

The single which featured on the soundtrack for 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' and a live performance from Taylor herself can be seen in the film too. We never get tired of listening to it!

4) I Knew You Were Trouble

We're sure you'll have heard Taylor's single 'I Knew You Were Trouble' before!

The country songbird experimented with dubstep beats for the track and it definitely worked. It was one of the biggest songs last year and went five times platinum in several countries including: America and Canada.

Taylor also experiments with pink streaks in her hair for the music video which sees her realise that another relationship is coming to an end. A crazy party leads to her waking up in the middle of a desert!

3) Picture To Burn

'Picture To Burn' never fails to put a smile on our face!

It's an upbeat guitar driven country track which was inspired by a male that Taylor didn't actually go out with. He irritated her though and the song is all about how she felt. It peaked at 28 on the Billboard chart.

Taylor vandalises the guy's house in the music video and we've got to say; it is done in a pretty funny way. We love how different it is to most of Taylor's other songs and we'd love her to do more like it in the future!

2) You Belong With Me

'You Belong With Me' just misses out on the top spot of our list!

It tells the story of the classic scenario where a girl hopes that her friend will finally realise that she's the one for him. The song is a cute little country track which has gone four times platinum in the United States.

The music video is just as sweet as the song too. We see Taylor play two completely different characters in the video which is so good that it even won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video in 2009!

1) Love Story

It's the song that first made us fall in love with Taylor Swift and it's still our favourite to this day!

'Love Story' really did set Taylor up for worldwide stardom. It's one of the best love stories ever told and we reckon everything about the song is pretty much perfect; both sonically and lyrically.

The single went five times platinum in America and has sold over 5 million copies there alone. It's also gone platinum and charted in several other countries including: the United Kingdom and Canada.

In the music video, Taylor puts on her best frock and steps into the role of Juliet waiting for her handsome Romeo to come and meet her. It's a period piece which will melt your heart and you can check it out below!

Picking just ten of Taylor Swift's singles was a really a hard choice and there's so many songs we wanted to include in the list. If we had to pick our ten favourite singles though, these would definitely be them.

You may notice that most of the songs are from earlier in Taylor's career. While we love the pop music that she's releasing at the moment, we do prefer her older country sound and hope she'll go back to it one day!

Taylor is currently working on her fifth studio album which is expected to hit shelves later this year!
