Cassadee Pope Matches Record Previously Set By Taylor Swift’s Debut Single

She won The Voice USA in 2012 and Cassadee Pope has now matched a record previously set by Taylor Swift!

Cassadee's track 'Wasting All These Tears' is the first debut single by a female country artist to go platinum since Taylor Swift released 'Tim McGraw' back in 2006. That's over eight years ago, well done Cassadee!

The singer-songwriter from Florida released 'Wasting All These Tears' in May last year and we've got to say; it's pretty damn good. It's a country break-up track that will definitely have you singing along in no time.

During her time on The Voice USA, Cassadee got the chance to duet with her idol Avril Lavigne. She sang 'I'm With You' with the pop-punk princess and also performed on stage with both Kelly Clarkson and The Killers.

Her debut album 'Frame By Frame' was released last year on the 8th October and it made it to number one in the US country charts. She's doing pretty well for herself and it's no wonder either; she's got a great voice!

Cassadee will release her second single 'I Wish I Could Break Your Heart' in America on the 17th March.

At the moment, Cassadee hasn't announced plans to come to the UK but we hope she does soon!
