OnePopz’s Top 10 New Hottest Acts To Watch Out For In 2014
We're only half way through February and there's already lots of new acts fighting for the top spots of this year's charts!
Here at OnePopz, we've decided to compile a list of our top 10 hottest acts to watch out for in 2014! These are some of the singers and bands who we feel deserve the most recognition and success this year.You may know some of the artists in the list and you may have no idea who some of them are but they're all really talented and all worth checking out. Our list starts with...
10. Mike Dignam
Mike Dignam is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter from Preston!
He is currently supporting Tich on tour and will begin supporting 5 Seconds of Summer at their shows this Sunday. He's previously supported Lawson and also had his own headline tours so he's doing pretty well.
We reckon that with all of these support slots and more promotion, Mike could make it quite big!

Mike will also be playing at the British Summertime Festival in Hyde Park on the 6th July alongside the likes of: McBusted, The Vamps and Elyar Fox. Following this, he'll go on another headline tour which will start in Oxford on the 18th July and end in Manchester on the 27th July.
His merchandise is pretty cool too, we really want to get our hands on one of those tie-dye 'Young' t-shirts!
9. Tich
Tich enjoyed lots of success last year but we really think that 2014 is going to be her year!
She's currently completing her second UK headline tour and also supported James Arthur on his tour earlier this year. Tich has also previously supported Olly Murs and Max Milner who both came from talent shows too.
Her debut single 'Dumb' made it to number 23 in the chart last year but her second single 'Obsession' wasn't as successful unfortunately. It only made it to number 56 in the charts but we think it could have done so much better if it received more radio support and promotion!
Tich's third single 'Breathe In, Breathe Out' was co-written by Nick Jonas and it will be released on the 23rd March. It's more stripped back than her previous singles and really shows off her powerful voice.
Her debut album 'What I'm Meant To Say' is expected to follow later this year and we can't wait to hear it!
8. Fifth Harmony
Fifth Harmony come in at number eight on our list of ones to watch this year!
The five-piece girl group were put together by the judges on the The X Factor USA and they finished in third place. Their mentor was Simon Cowell but they also dueted with X Factor judge Demi Lovato on the show.
Ally, Camila, Normani, Dinah and Lauren are currently supporting Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights Tour alongside: Little Mix and Cher Lloyd. The North American leg of the tour will finish on the 30th March.
Fifth Harmony's debut EP 'Better Together' On' charted at number 6 in the American Billboard chart and it also made it to number 18 in New Zealand. Our favourite track has to be 'Leave My Heart Out of This'.
Their first single 'Miss Movin' On' is super catchy and we can't get enough of it! We really hope the girls will be coming over here to the UK for some gigs sometime soon.

7. Emblem3
Like Fifth Harmony, Emblem3 were also contestants on the second season of The X Factor USA!
Drew, Wesley and Keaton made it to the semi final of the show and ultimately finished in fourth place.
Despite visiting the UK for some radio promo last Summer, they're still yet to actually release a single over here. We hope they'll be releasing music over here soon though because their album really is amazing, it's so good in fact that we've had it imported from America. We couldn't wait any longer!
Their album 'Nothing To Lose' charted at number 7 in America, number 8 in Canada and number 21 in New Zealand. It features both of their singles 'Chloe (You're the One I Want)' and '3000 Miles'.
The surfer boy heartthrobs will be returning to the UK next month for a mini four date tour. They'll be headlining shows in: London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

6. Sam Smith
Sam Smith's brand new single 'Money on my Mind' is finally released this week!
It's currently at number one on the iTunes chart but we'll have to see if he can stay there, he faces tough competition from Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' which has been number one for the past four weeks.
Sam has previously featured on the smash hit singles 'Latch' by Disclosure and 'La La La' by Naughty Boy. Now, he's looking to get his own hit and he's definitely one to watch out for this year.
He released an EP titled 'Nirvana' in October last year and his debut album 'In the Lonely Hour' will hit the shelves on the 26th May. It's very likely that there'll be another single before its release.

5. Neon Jungle
Neon Jungle come in at number five on our chart of hottest new acts for 2014!
It's rare for new girl groups to make it in the industry but Neon Jungle are really making a name for themselves. Their debut single 'Trouble' charted at number 12 and their second single 'Braveheart' charted at number 4.
That's really impressive and their dance tracks are constantly being played in clubs and on the radio!
Shereen, Asami, Jessica and Amira also supported Jessie J on some of her tour dates last year.
We can't wait to hear their album and see what their third single will be. It'll be interesting to see if they go for a ballad or another club track. Which would you prefer?

4. The Vamps
We're pretty sure that most of you will be have heard of The Vamps!
We post about them all of the time on here and they're fast becoming Britain's next big boyband.
Their debut single 'Can We Dance' made it to number 2 in the charts and their second single 'Wild Heart' scored just one place lower at number 3!
Brad, Connor, Tristan and James are set to support The Wanted on their final arena tour next month. They've just finished supporting Taylor Swift in London and they've previously supported Selena Gomez before too.
The boys will also be headlining their very own tour which will see them perform at venues across the UK in September and October. Yes girls, be prepared to faint!
We reckon they're only going to become even more successful when their album drops later this year.

3. Foxes
Southampton-born singer-songwriter Foxes makes it to number three in our list!
Her new single 'Let Go For Tonight' is an absolute tune and we can't stop playing it.
She's a relatively new artist but she already has an impressive list of collaborations under her belt and even won a Grammy award for her track 'Clarity' with Zedd. Other songs she features on include: 'Just One Yesterday' by Fall Out Boy and 'Right Here' by Rudimental.
'Let Go For Tonight' will be released next week and with nearly 3 million views on Youtube, we're pretty sure that it's going to storm the charts. It'll feature on her debut album 'Glorious' alongside her previous single ‘Youth’ which made it to number 12 in the charts.
Foxes will begin her second headline tour next Friday and it's definitely not one to miss. 'Glorious' is scheduled for release on the 12th March and we can't wait to grab our hands on a copy!
2. Elyar Fox
He just missed out on the top spot but we still predict big things for Elyar Fox this year!
Elyar's debut single 'Do It All Over Again' entered the UK charts at number five and he recently revealed that his second single will be titled 'A Billion Girls'.
The track hasn't premiered yet but we're sure it's going to be amazing!
At only 18 years old, Elyar has already achieved quite a lot and he has screaming fans following him all around the country thanks to his singing talents and good looks.
Elyar supported Union J on their recent tour and his debut album is expect to drop this Summer.
As well as listening to his single, it's also worth checking out his track 'Colourblind' on Youtube. We love it!

1. 5 Seconds of Summer
Australian boyband 5 Seconds of Summer take the top spot on our list!
They uploaded the lyric video for their awesome debut single 'She Looks So Perfect' just ten days ago and the video has already received over 2 million hits on Youtube.
That's pretty impressive, especially for a band's first single!
'She Looks So Perfect' will be released on the 24th March and you can pre-order both physical and digital copies of the single here from the band's website.
5SOS consists of four members; Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin. They've supported One Direction on tour and because of this, a large majority of their fanbase are directioners too.
Their first UK headline tour starts this Sunday and the boys will be performing in; Glasgow, Sheffield, Manchester, Norwich, Oxford, Birmingham and London.
