One Direction Go Straight To Number One In Ireland With ‘Story Of My Life’
One Direction’s new single ‘Story Of My Life’ has taken the number one spot in this week’s Irish single charts!
We're sure some of you are wondering how it’s already charted though, right?The official chart in Ireland works differently to how it works here in the UK. Each week’s new chart is announced on a Friday in Ireland whereas it’s announced on a Sunday over here.
We're certain that Niall is loving the fact that the song’s gone to number one in his home country!
‘Story Of My Life’ is One Direction’s fourth number one single in Ireland and it follows on from: ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, ‘Live While We’re Young’ and ‘One Way Or Another.’
Hozier made it to second place in the Irish charts this week with his track ‘Take Me To Church’ and Lorde slipped down one place to number three with her single ‘Royals.’
‘Story Of My Life’ is also currently number one in New Zealand and more chart positions will be announced over the weekend. The track’s music video will also premiere on Sunday.
