Lady Gaga Unveils New ‘ARTPOP’ Track ‘Venus’

Lady Gaga has unveiled a new track titled 'Venus' which will feature on her eagerly-anticipated third studio album!

'Venus' is about the out of world feelings you experience when you're in love and it's the first song that Gaga has produced by herself. Lyrics in the electropop anthem include: "This could be love 'cause you’re out of this world, galaxy, space and time."

It was originally going to be the second single from the collection but Gaga recently decided to make it a promotional track instead. Why did she change her mind though?

Her decision changed after 'Do What U Want', another track she released from the album featuring R Kelly, received such a good response online and went to number one in several different countries within hours.

The tracks are very different from each other. 'Venus' sounds a lot like some of Lady Gaga's upbeat previous work whereas 'Do What U Want' is more R&B and is a new direction for the 27 year-old performer.

Mother monster treated us fans in the UK to a mash-up of 'Venus' and 'Do What U Want' last night on The X Factor. She sounded amazing live and of course, put on a great show like always.

'Venus' and 'Do What U Want' are currently available on iTunes. They will feature alongside lead-single 'Applause' on 'ARTPOP' which is scheduled for release on the 11th November.

Do you like 'Venus'? Was Gaga right to change the single?
