Ke$ha Admits She Has No Creative Control Over Her Music
She's the 'Crazy Kid' who loves a good party and shots of Jack Daniels!
Or at least that's what we thought about Ke$ha... until we read her latest interview in Rolling Stone. That's just one side to her and it sounds like the 'Die Young' singer has been hoping to release a ballad.
In the interview, she revealed that she doesn't want to 'continue putting out the same song and becoming a parody' explaining that: "what's been put out as singles have just perpetuated a particular image that may or may not be entirely accurate."
This quote comes after some of Ke$ha's fans, or 'animals' as they like to be called, started an online petition to 'free' Ke$ha from her producer Dr Luke. When Ke$ha was 18, she signed a multi-album record deal with Dr Luke and there's no questioning that he's responsible for a lot of her success.
Ke$ha's latest album wasn't as successful as her previous ones though and fans noticed that Ke$ha wasn't releasing the singles that she actually wanted to put out there.
The 26-year-old pop sensation has now confirmed this saying that: "I feel like my fans are really protective of me. They just want to see me grow as an artist, which I agree with. Hopefully in the future, I’ll be in a position where I can put out a ballad or a more vulnerable song."
There are actually some incredible ballads on Ke$ha's albums which are definitely worth checking out. Some of our favourites include: 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes', 'Blind', 'The Harold Song' and 'Last Goodbye.'
Ke$ha is rumoured to be back in the studio working on her next album. She also features on Pitbull's latest single 'Timber.' It might not be a ballad but it'll definitely get you in the mood for dancing!
